Offered for sale is a one owner 2004 Hunter 44 Deck Salon sailboat, which is quite possibly one of the best Hunter models ever made. This Hunter shines bright, with all of its beautiful woodwork in exceptional condition, as well as its perfectly waxed and cared for hull. The cockpit shows very well, has ample seating for all, and a large fold up table. There are cushions for the cockpit that are in very good condition. All canvas and isinglass is in excellent shape, and the isinglass has canvas covers to protect it. Electronics include Raymarine instruments, Raymarine Auto Pilot, Icom VHF and a Garmin chart plotter. Storage is ample in the cockpit, with storage under all seating.
From the moment you walk into the Salon you will be quite impressed at how large the galley is, which includes a refrigerator and freezer, stove, sink, spice rack, microwave, and ample storage to include storage in the floor. As you walk forward into the salon you are greeted with a large U shaped dinette with a removable leaf for the table, as well as a couch to the right of the dinette with a TV mounted to the forward wall. This Hunter was fully loaded from the factory, to include a Bose surround sound system. There is a map desk, and under the seat for the map desk is where the Fisher Panda Diesel generator resides, which only has 880 hours. The generator has a sound enclosure and is very quiet. Moving forward into the cabin we come to a full guest head with a seperate shower, and a forward guest quarters with a large almost queen size V berth. The storage is ample throughout the guest quarters, to include a large closet, as well as floor storage lockers.
After being impressed by the guest quarters, you will only become more impressed by the captain's quarters in the aft cabin. There is a vanity with storage, as well as a large closet, bookshelves, and a queen size rear berth. In the captain's quarters there is also access to the main head, which includes a large stand up shower, seperated with a glass door. The storage remains impressive as you move through every area of the boat, and there is no wasted space.
Not only are the cosmetic aspects of this Hunter in Bristol condition, but the running gear and mechanicals are in excellent shape as well. The Yanmar 4 cylinder diesel only has 1963 hours, and has absolutely zero leaks. The engine and all running gear have been extensively maintained. In 2022 new running gear rigging was installed to include traveler, rigid vang, main outhaul, and topping lift. New C02 / propane detectors were installed as well. In 2021 new running gear rigging was also installed, to include furling line, and main sheet. In 2021 this Hunter also got a new Nova Kool f2600 freezer, new powered mast mounted tv antenna, new vhf at cabin with a remote at the helm, and a new galvanic isolater system. In 2020 all sails were washed and serviced, windlass was rebuilt and rebedded, a Garmin 942XS was added, new cockpit stereo and speakers were installed ( fusion speakers), new 8d house batteries, new AGM starting battery, new Xantrex 2500 watt inverter / charger, new Xantrex litelink battery monitor, New magama kettle 3 rail mounted propane grill.
It should be noted the hull has only ever been compounded once, and the gelcoat still shines as bright as the day it was new. There are two propane tanks included, both in great shape. Included with the sale is a 10'2" dinghy that was brand new in 2017, a full set of 12 sailboat stands, and a large winter custom made canvas cover. The reason for sale is the owners are moving out of state and are unable to take the vessel with them.
